In my lifetime the America spirit of confident self-determination has been steadily eroded by ever-increasing acquiescence to, “experts”, “the-powers-that-be?, and useless thinking like, “It is what it is”.
News reports on judicial rulings constantly mislead; they regularly declare that some Court approved or rejected this-or-that policy. The judiciary is not empowered to decide whether a law is good or bad. They can only decide if a law is legally permissible
I feel like an orphan, an outcast banished to a strange land, a prisoner on some foreign shore, sentenced to life without parole. I would gladly escape and return to my own people - if only I knew where they might be.
Carrion crows and junk-men if allowed to sue would probably have a good case for breach-of-natural-contract and incitement to public mischief,.

Proof is only possible in math and science. Nothing in any other discipline equals that sort of verifiable truth. Certainties in social theory and historical record are really opinions. Even the most probable of them cannot be truly verified
